About
The Scholze Center adolescent program, located in Chattanooga, TN, provides trauma-informed substance abuse & Co-occurring Capable treatment utilizing a 12 step recovery process as well as other evidenced based treatment modalities that reflect best practice standards. Our staff is trained and experienced in dealing with both substance abuse & mental health treatment. Our master’s level & licensed counselors are trained in adolescent addiction treatment and provide education, group & individual therapy, family therapy, as well as experiential therapy. The program accepts most private insurance & TN Care and participants can participate in the following levels of care: Residential Treatment - geared toward adolescents 13 to 18 years of age who may be in immediate distress with limited recovery support or who have been unsuccessful in lower levels of care. While in treatment, client are able to continue their education efforts, GED preparation, or participate in credit recovery work in our state accredited Scholze Middle-High School. Also during their stay, participants receive: Psycho-education on the disease of addiction & the 12 step recovery process; Individual & Family Therapy; Family education; Healthy life skill development; Anger management; Trauma-informed & Co-occurring groups & activities; & Trust & esteem building through our high & low ropes course & other experiential activities. Intensive Outpatient for Adolescents – meets 3 times a week and offers a 20 session substance abuse treatment group for youth, ages 12 to 18, who do not meet requirements for residential treatment, but who have gained some sobriety and some life skills that will allow them to function in recovery. Community-based Counseling – a low intensity community based and grant funded treatment program that uses an evidenced-based treatment model to address individual substance abuse concerns or help with transitioning the youth back into the home from a more intense treatment program. The counselors meet weekly with clients and family members for 18 to 20 weeks. After Care Services - The Scholze Adolescent Center provides free weekly after care services for clients who complete treatment for up to one year.
