Call or text the Tennessee Redline: 1.800.889.9789 (Toll Free 24/7)The Regional Intervention Program (RIP) is a parent-implemented, professionally-supported program for children, ages 2-6 years, and their families who are experiencing any kind of challenging behaviors. The child does not need to have a diagnosis and the program is of no cost to our enrolled families. Parents attend program WITH their child for two hours twice a week. During program, parents work with their case manager to learn strategies to help shape their child's behavior. The children are in a preschool like setting, intentionally working on things like social skills, task completion, asking for help, dealing with frustration, and table manners. Even though it looks like a school, we are not focusing on academics like a typical preschool, and most children thrive on the additional structure and reinforcement of positive behaviors provided by the program. There is no cost for the program, but it is time intensive. Changing behavior takes time and parents can plan to spend between four to eight months in program.
