The mission of Genesis East Residential Treatment is to improve the quality of life for KY residents by providing substance use and mental health treatment for those who have co-occurring disorders and are in need of mental/emotional support and are at high risk for relapse.

Referral / Admission

Admission criteria
  • At least 18 years of age, Meet ASAM criteria for residential treatment on a 3.5 level of care, Meet substance dependence (ICD-10) for at least one substance, Have no convictions which resulted in being placed on sex offender registry, Be a resident of Kentucky, Have active Kentucky Medicaid insurance or meet qualification for Medicaid, Stable medical condition that lacks the need for immediate/urgent medical care.

Medication Policies

Prescription Medication Policy Details
  • An individual would need to bring a 30 day supply of any medications prescribed by their physician or a minimum of a 14 day supply with active refills available (if already possessing active insurance). Controlled substances are prohibited.
