Johnson County Community of Hope
About
The Johnson County Community of Hope works with female clients in Johnson county, Kentucky who have substance abuse issues and whose children are in foster care, relative placement, or who may be at risk of being placed outside the home. Substance abuse counselors, peer mentors, clinicians, and a job coach from the local community mental health agency provide services to the ladies in the program. Social workers from the state child protection agency also work with the ladies, their children, and the children's caregivers (foster parents, relative placements, etc) in order to ensure safety and permanency for the children. Each case is tracked/followed thru the Family Court in order to monitor progress and to further ensure timely permanency for the children. There is also a mentoring component with the Johnson County Community of Hope that seeks to teach new life skills to the ladies participating in the program.
