- Prescription Medication Policy Details
- Patients will be provided medications from ARH pharmacy. Patients may not bring home medications to be dispensed while inpatient at the psychiatric hospital.
Referral / Admission
- Referral process
- Individuals may seek inpatient psychiatric hospitalization via any ARH Emergency Department. Individuals will be seen by local Comprehensive Care Mental Agency within that county to determine if inpatient or outpatient type behavior health treatment needed.
- Admission criteria
- Admission criteria is based on individualized assessment regarding psychiatric symptoms that the patient is experiencing at the time of evaluation. Patients will be assessed to determine if inpatient psychiatric treatment will improve behavioral health needs. Individuals who are considered to be a danger to self or other and are in need of inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Individuals who are in need of psychiatric medication adjustment or any other behavioral health crisis and would benefit from psychiatric hospitalization.
