Referral / Admission

Referral process
  • Individuals may seek inpatient psychiatric hospitalization via any ARH Emergency Department. Individuals will be seen by local Comprehensive Care Mental Agency within that county to determine if inpatient or outpatient type health treatment is needed. Facility accepts voluntary and involuntary patients.
Admission criteria
  • Individuals must be 18 years or older. Admission criteria is based on individualized assessment regarding psychiatric symptoms that the patient is experiencing at the time of evaluation. Patients will be assessed to determine if inpatient psychiatric treatment will improve behavioral health needs.

  • Patients will be provided with medications from ARH pharmacy. Patients may not bring home medications to be dispensed while inpatient at the psychiatric hospital.
