Medication Policies
- Because Priscilla's Place is a not a medical or psychiatric program, there are some medications that are prohibited because of their mood-altering effects and/or their high rate of abuse among individuals in recovery. Prohibited medications include, but are not limited to, the following: • Narcotic pain medications and the non-narcotic gabapentin • Benzodiazepines • Muscle relaxers or other sedatives • Psychotropic medications not specifically listed as approved (see teenchallengeky.com for full list) Priscilla's Place never recommends that an individual stop taking medications against medical advice. If a student must take these types of medications, our staff can refer her to another program.
