Referral / Admission
- Tracy’s House admits individuals who are determined, through a clinical screening and ASAM-based assessment, to be appropriate for the level of care offered (ASAM 3.1 or 3.5). Admission decisions are based on the individual’s substance use history, medical and psychiatric stability, ability to participate in treatment, and the program’s capacity to safely meet their needs. Clients must not require medically monitored detoxification at the time of admission and must be willing to engage in treatment services beyond medication management alone. All admissions require verification of medications, completion of required consents and agreements (including controlled substance and drug testing consents), and compliance with program rules. Individuals who are not appropriate for services are provided referrals to more suitable levels of care or external providers .
Medication Policies
- Tracy’s House requires that all prescription medications be verified upon admission, with valid prescriptions provided for all medications, including controlled substances. Clients prescribed controlled substances must sign a Controlled Substance Agreement and comply with medication management, storage, and administration requirements. Medications are monitored and documented by authorized medical staff, with ongoing review for adherence, safety, and effectiveness. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is permitted when clinically indicated, drug testing is used to support treatment planning rather than punishment, and any misuse, diversion, or unauthorized possession of medications may result in clinical intervention or discharge.
